North Carolina’s homegrown chicken chain is finally spreading its wings in Houston. After nearly two years of empty promises to return, Bojangles seems to be making good. A location in Spring is finally finishing its buildout and is listed as “coming soon” on the Bojangles website. A second location in Richmond is also coming along nicely and has a grand opening date on December 17th. While this date is not yet set in stone, at least one of the two locations will likely open before 2025 hits us. However, die-hard Bo’s fans may have more to worry about than delayed chicken. Reviews from the company’s Dallas and San Antonio outposts feature many upset customers. You, of course, have the normal complaints about service, quality of food, etc.. however a good portion of the complainants are taking issue with the decision only to sell chicken tenders and sandwiches as opposed to the bone in fried chicken, which the chain was built on. At this time, it seems like Bojangle’s return to Texas may bring more problems than results.

Yes, I went to the one in San Antonio and was disappointed with the lack of all-day breakfast which is a staple of the company out east, and one of the main reasons I went! The manager mentioned that these locations are licensed and not franchised or something like that (that was almost a year ago).
I hope they open soon and with a full menu here in H-Town otherwise I think they will have trouble.
