Discount retailer Target will open its newest Houston-area store at 12565 Arc Lane, Stafford, TX 77477, on October 19th, 2025. This will be Target’s first new store in the area since the 2022 opening of the Katy Elyson location. The store will be the next large piece for The Grid, the name of the mixed-use project aiming to redevelop the former Texas Instruments campus. The development has opened multiple retail and restaurant spaces, as well as multi-family housing, but has yet to attract any entertainment development. The space occupied by Costco was initially intended for Drive Shack. Target’s space sits mostly in what was to be the golf attraction’s parking lot, extending a bit into the “Luma Grove” area, a proposed development which would have seen a second Truck Yard location. While the fate is sealed on Drive Shack, the other entertainment areas, such as the proposed movie theater, and most of Luma Grove, remain undeveloped.
