In a strange turn of fate, a single Houston Big Lots location has ended its liquidation sale and will remain open. According to employees at the store, the Big Lots at 9795 Westheimer Rd, Houston, TX 77042, ended its liquidation sale over the weekend after corporate informed the store it was no longer closing. The move is part of a broader measure that keeps multiple closing stores open across 11 states. Customers were informed that the liquidation would cease and were taking names of customers who had already purchased fixtures. Associates were regularly using the PA to inform customers that the store was no longer closing and the liquidation had ended. However, not all news is cheery; earlier this week, the Big Lots in Webster was added to the list of closing stores. With the new addition, there are now 10 locations closing throughout the Houston area. Other closing locations are Highway 6 at W Little York, Kirby at OST, FM 1960 at Jones, along with Pearland, Tomball, Katy, Baytown, Spring, and Galveston, outside city limits.
