According to an anonymous tip received here at Houston Historic Retail, Ben Bridge Jewelers may soon exit the Houston market. The chain expanded into Texas in 1999 and first opened in Houston at Willowbrook Mall in 2001. The jewelry chain would later open locations in Memorial City Mall, First Colony Mall, and The Galleria, as well as in Austin, El Paso, and DFW. As of 2022, only the Memorial City and Galleria locations are left, with other Houston area locations closing throughout the early 2010s. The chain has had some issues lately cutting back 83 locations in 2020, as well as selling their franchised Pandora locations in 2022. As of this point, Ben Bridge has not yet officially announced an exit date.
