Permits for multiple new Bojangles locations have appeared in the past few months, and slow but steady work is progressing on the locations already under construction. The North Carolina-based fried chicken chain first announced its return to Houston in 2021 after a brief run in the Bayou City in the mid-80s. Progress on this stalled; however, it was only last year that Bojangles made good on its promises and began construction in and around Houston. However, this progress has been notably slow, with little progress made on the two active locations (Spring and Richmond). Other planned locations in the Houston area include Tomball, Leauge City, a second in Spring, and one in Webster in the home of the former Ghengis Grills (originally a Krispy Kreme.) At this point, it seems likely that the Spring location will be the first to open, with Richmond likely following shortly behind. However, as of this post, other than building permits, little else has been filed to point to a potential opening date.

I really hope they finish these up soon. I need my Bojangles fix!
Can’t believe that Richmond one STILL isn’t done.
