Work on Houston’s first Primark store is showing progress at Katy Mills Mall. The Irish department store first filed permits to build the location last year. It will be located in the former Bed, Bath & Beyond Outlet, which was previously the Restoration Hardware Outlet. The chain is known for selling its merchandise at extremely low price points. Work on another Primark location is currently underway at part of the former Sears in Willowbrook Mall. Primark has yet to announce a grand opening date, but the Katy Mills store is expected to open first. The Willowbrook location is undergoing more extensive renovations to accommodate the split of the building between Japanese Arcade and Round One.
I had noticed the Dillard’s side of the Willowbrook Sears seemed untouched. Guess that’s where the Primark is going. I wonder if both it and Round One will share the mall enterance.
